A horror story to round of the Halloween weekend... 👹 A potential buyer of this BMW tried to sabotage the car to achieve a lower selling point by putting oil into the coolant and saying the vehicle had a problem! The seller quickly bought the car to us, where we flushed the system and replaced the coolant. The car can now be sold on to a genuine buyer at the price deserved. New radiator and DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) installed for a lovely customer recently 💪 Ever wondered what a DPF does? It captures and stores exhaust soot (some refer to them as soot traps) in order to reduce harmful emissions from diesel cars. But because they only have a finite capacity, this trapped soot periodically has to be emptied or 'burned off' to regenerate the DPF. A faulty DPF can cause loss of power, reduce fuel economy, give out excessive exhaust fumes and produce a hot and strong smell from the engine.
